Heal's Oak Library Book Chair
The chair: A Heal's oak library "book" chair dating c.1930. The chair has a dovetailed bookcase one side, a drop leaf table the other and a reclining back.

Condition: Offered in very good refinished condition. Replacement cushions can be re-covered in your own fabric or we can also offer to replace them will custom made down filled cushions

Dimensions: Width 29" or 40." with the table up. Depth 31" upright to 45" fully reclined. Back height 30". Seat height 15".

Heal's Substantial Oak Waterfall Library Bookcase
The bookcase: A substantial Art Deco oak waterfall library bookcase attributed to Heal's c.1930. Constructed in solid well figured quarter sawn oak with a veneered ply back.

Condition: Offered in very good condition.

Dimensions: Width 72", Height 45" & Depth 11.5". The height of the bottom shelf is 10.25", the second and third shelves are both 9.5" high and the top shelf is 8.25" high.

The table: An Arts & Crafts oak refectory dining table designed by Ambrose Heal c.1912 for Heal & Son. This example was probably made during the 1920s. Constructed in solid, well figured quarter sawn oak. This is a substantial table.

Condition: Offered in very good cleaned and waxed condition.

Arts & Crafts Oak Wardrobe
The wardrobe: A substantial Arts & Crafts oak wardrobe retailed by Oetzmann & Co (Ivorine labels), Hampstead circa 1900. The wardrobe has wonderful Pewter, copper and fruitwood inlay work to the doors and original bronzed copperware.

Condition: Shown prior to restoration. This wardrobe is offered restored to excellent condition.

Dimensions: The wardrobe stands 84" tall, 82.5" wide (at cornice) and 25" deep (at cornice). The internal depth of the wardrobe is 18" with the doors closed.

Brynmawr Furniture Oak Dining Suite
The Suite: A painted oak dining suite comprising an extending draw-leaf table and six chairs by Brynmawr Furniture c.1930's.

Condition: Offered in very good original condition. Original green painted finish worn in places.

Dimensions: The table top stands 30" high, 36" wide and either 42" or 72" in length. Each chair has a seat height 18", back height 38" and width 16.5".

The sideboard: A large Cotswold style oak sideboard dating c.1925 with subtle cantered ends, fielded panels and chamfered supports. The sideboard comprises a central bank of three drawer flanked by cupboards over a pot board.

American Arts & Crafts Oak Split Pedestal Extending Dining Table
The table: An American Arts & Crafts (Mission) well figured quarter sawn oak split pedestal extending dining table. The table extends to accommodate three additional leaves. Octagonal pedestal with original locking mechanisms. Indistinct label to underside.

Condition: Shown prior to restoration. This table id offered restored and refinished. Please note that the pictures show the table without castors.

Dimensions: The table stands approx 29" high and 45" in diameter. Each of the three leaves is approx 16.5" wide which allows the table to extend to 95" in length.

The chairs: A set of eight Arts & Crafts oak high backed dining chairs in the Glasgow style. The set comprises two carvers and six side chairs.

Condition: Shown prior to restoration, these chairs are offered fully restored: frames tightened, refinished and re-upholstered in your own fabric.

Dimensions: The seat sits 19" high, 18" wide and the back stands 46" tall. The carvers have slightly wider seats at 20" wide with their widest point being at the arms at 24" wide.

Arts & Crafts Cotswold School Chest of Drawers
The chest: An Arts & Crafts solid oak Cotswold School chest of four drawers. Designed by Peter Waals and made by final year handicraft students under the direction of Edward Barnsley in the 1930s for Hazlerigg Hall (now part of Loughborough University). The chest has pommel horse handles and is beautifully constructed with exposed dovetails and through tenons.

Condition: Offered in very good refinished condition. All drawers run remarkably smoothly.

Cotswold School Cupboard
The Cupboard: An Arts & Crafts Cotswold School oak cupboard after Peter Waals, made by handicraft students under the direction of Edward Barnsley during the late 1930s. This piece is unusual for such pieces being constructed in well figured quarter sawn oak and was probably made for the college office or library. There is a clear influence from Peter Waals evident, whose designs were used by students, with the handles, raised panels, through tenons and dovetailed joints. The whole cupboard sits on hidden castors which can be removed if preferred. The back is fibreboard. The cupboard is divided into 2 sections by a central divider and each section has two adjustable shelves (4 in total) which are not shown in the images - updated images will follow shortly.

Condition: Offered in very good original condition. The finish has been cleaned back and revived.

Heal's "Letchworth" Oak Refectory Dining Table
The table: An Arts & Crafts "Letchworth" 6' oak refectory dining table by Heal & Son circa 1905. An early and Iconic design by Ambrose Heal with a subtle A-frame stance at each end.

Condition: Offered in very good restored and refinished condition. The table top has naturally bleached over time and use and now provides a striking contrast to the base.

Dimensions: The table top stands 30" tall, 30" wide and 72" in length.

Art Deco Burr Maple Triple Wardrobe by Bath Cabinet Makers
The wardrobe: An Art Deco burr maple triple wardrobe with contrasting ebonised plinth, handles and cornice by Bath Cabinet Makers c.1930. Labelled. The wardrobe comprises a single door fitted compartment with shelves, sliding trays, a rack and a door mounted mirror next to a two door double width hanging compartment. This wardrobe does dismantle into four components for ease of movement.

We also have a matching bedhead with bedside cabinets to fit a super king size bed available separately.

Condition: Offered in very good refinished condition.

Dimensions: The wardrobe stands 73" tall, 54" wide and 22" deep.
