Cotswold Style Oak Fitted Double Wardrobe by Brynmawr Furniture
The wardrobe: A Cotswold style oak double wardrobe designed by Paul Matt for Brynmawr Furniture c.1930 (labelled). The wardrobe has square wedge shaped handles and fielded panels to both the front and sides. Inside the wardrobe has two hanging sections: one full length and the other shorter over a run of three fitted drawer trays. Working locks with keys.

Condition: Shown prior to going to our polish workshop where it will be refinished.

Dimensions: The wardrobe stands approx 71" tall, 48.5" wide and 22" deep.

Cotswold Style Oak Sideboard by Bath Cabinet Makers
The sideboard: A Cotswold Style oak sideboard by Bath Cabinet Makers c.1930. Labelled. Constructed in well figured quarter sawn oak with proud octagonal front supports. The sideboard comprises two central drawers flanked by cupboards with original working locks with keys.

Bath Cabinet Makers were one of the better firms making furniture in the Arts & Crafts taste. They made and supplied furniture for Heal's.

Condition: Offered in excellent refinished condition.

Arts & Crafts Cotswold School Wardrobe Unit
The wardrobe: An Arts & Crafts oak Cotswold School wardrobe unit with chest of drawers and bookshelf. Designed by Peter Waals and made by final year handicraft students under the direction of Edward Barnsley in the 1930s for Hazlerigg Hall (now part of Loughborough University). The wardrobe door has fielded panels with cantered corners and hexagonal knobs. Exposed dovetails throughout. This item breaks down into four component pieces: plinth, wardrobe, chest of drawers and shelves.

We have two identical units available.

Condition: To be restored to showroom condition.

The Sideboard: An Arts & Crafts Cotswold School oak sideboard. Designed by Paul Matt for Brynmawr Furniture circa 1930. Three panel cupboards to base: center reveals three drawers, sides with one shelf. Superb quatre sawn oak graining.

Condition: Offered in excellent showroom condition. Original golden oak finish revived. No evidence of significant damage or repair.

Dimensions: The sideboard stands 34.5" high (maximum), 54" wide and 20" deep.

The table: A Cotswold Style oak 'Enstone' refectory dining table by Gordon Russell c.1935. Constructed in solid, well figured quarter sawn oak with octagonal supports.

The chairs: A set of 4 oak lattice back "Tilden" dining chairs designed by Ambrose Heal for by Heal's c.1930. The set comprises one carver and three side chairs. Each chair has a drop-in seat ready for re-upholstery.

Condition: Offered in very good original condition. Frames have been cleaned and waxed and the drop-in seats will be re-upholstered in your fabric (fabric to be supplied by the purchaser).

Dimensions: Seat height approx 18" (once seats re-upholstered); Back height 34.25" (36.25" for the carver); Seat width (at the front) 17.5" (20" for the carver).

The Bookcase: An oak sectional bookcase by Heal's c.1930. No label but this bookcase is illustrated in numerous period Heal's catalogues. The bookcase comprises three sections: One deep base section and two shallower top sections. The later each with an adjustable shelf.
