Condition: Offered in excellent condition. Refinished.

Dimensions: Width 33", Height 43" and depth 19.5" closed, 32" open. When open, the desk top area is approx 31.5" wide by 22" deep.

The desk: An oak corner desk by Heal's dating c.1930. Constructed in solid well figured quarter sawn oak. No label but this desk is illustrated in numerous Heal's catalogues as part of the weathered oak library. The desk comprises a central section with single drawer flanked by two pedestals, each with two drawers over a shelved cupboard.

Condition: Offered in excellent refinished condition.

Dimensions: The desk top height is 30.25", the under frieze height is 24.5", each back width is 35", the depth of the desk from the middle to the apex is 24.5", each pedestal depth is 11" and the central section frontage is 18".

Heal's Oak Breakfront Bureau Bookcase
The bureau: A Cotswold Style breakfront bureau bookcase by Heal's c.1930. Labelled. Constructed in solid well figured quarter sawn oak. The fall front opens to reveal a pigeon hole fitted interior, over a central bank of three drawers flanked by open bookcases each with three adjustable shelves (shown with two fitted).

Heal's Limed Oak Wardrobe
The wardrobe: A limed oak double wardrobe attributed to Heal's c.1930. No label. Superb quater sawn grain figuring, stepped panels and a facetted handle. Internally, there are two front to back hanging rails.

Condition: Offered in very good condition. Original finish cleaned & revived. Two points to note: there is a professional repair to the edge of one door next to the handle (more images available on request). and there is no lock present.

Dimensions: The wardrobe stands 68.5" tall, 42" wide and 21.5" deep.

Heal's Oak Desk Armchair
The chair: A very rare example of an iconic oak writing / desk armchair by Heal's c.1930. This chair has had an incredible life having originally been shipped to Northern Rhodesia c.1930 and later moving to South Africa via Southern Rhodesia, where its rush seat was replaced with a traditional "riempie" (strung) seat, before returning to the UK in the early 2000's.

Condition: Offered in excellent refinished condition. No evidence of any significant damage or repair.

Dimensions: Width 25" (maximum at the arms), seat height 17", back height 32" & depth 18.5" (seat)

The tallboy: A Cotswold Style oak "Letchworth" tallboy designed by Ambrose Heal for Heal & Son dating circa 1910. Bearing ivorine button label, the tallboy has two drawers over a cupboard with two removeable shelves.

Dimensions: the tallboy stands 47.75" tall, 41.75" wide and 18" deep.

Modernist Oak Desk by P.E. Gane
The desk: An English Modernist 9 drawer twin pedestal desk made by P.E. Gane c.1935. The Bauhaus architect Marcel Breuer was employed as a consultant designer to P.E Gane at this time. P.E Gane also supplied furniture to Heal's. The desk is constructed in solid, well figured quarter san oak.

Condition: Offered in good refinished condition. Some very minor marks to the desk top to be expected.

Dimensions: The desk stands 31.5" tall (maximum to the top of the gallery - writing surface is 30" high), 42" wide and 20" deep.
