Heal's Limed Oak Draw Leaf Kitchen Dining Table
The table: A limed oak draw leaf extending kitchen dining table by Heal's c.1930. Labelled. Constructed in well figured quarter sawn oak with classic turned supports. The table can be used in three different lengths.

Condition: Offered in very good refinished condition. The limed finish has been lost to the top but is still evident to the base. There are a couple of fine linear shadow marks which show when the table top is extended.

Dimensions: The table stands 30" high, 30" deep and either 41", 56.' or 71" in length.

Heal's Art Deco Burr Maple "Compactum" Wardrobe
The Wardrobe: An English Art Deco burr maple wardrobe by Heal's c.1930. Spectacular burr maple veneers with a contrasting walnut plinth. Smaller than typical wardrobes and ideal for awkward spaces. The wardrobe is part fitted with two drawers and a number of open shelfs. There is a good practical hanging area with a side to side hanging rail. The wardrobe has its original chromed handles, locking bolts and working lock and key.

Condition: Offered in excellent refinished condition.

Heal's Oak Corner Desk
The desk: An oak corner desk by Heal's dating c.1930. Labelled. The desk comprises a central section with single drawer flanked by two pedestals, each with two drawers over a shelved cupboard.

Condition: Offered in excellent refinished condition.

Dimensions: The desk top height is 30.25", the under frieze height is 24.5", each back width is 35", the depth of the desk from the middle to the apex is 24.5", each pedestal depth is 11" and the central section frontage is 18".

Betty Joel Oak Bureau
The bureau: An oak bureau designed by Betty Joel and hand-made by W G Evans at the "Token" works, Portsmouth in 1929. Labelled. The fall front opens to reveal a part fitted interior with pigeon holes and a bank of three drawers including a secret compartment.

Condition: Offered in very good original condition.

Dimensions: Width 24", height 46" and depth (closed) 16.5" or 32.5" (open). Open the desk area is 22.5" x 24" with a tooled leather writing area of 18.5" x 12.5".

Cotswold Style Oak Bureau By Brynmawr Furniture
The bureau: An Arts & Crafts Cotswold Style bureau designed by Paul Matt for Brynmawr furniture c.1930. Fall front opens to reveal a pigeon hole interior over two drawers. Quarter sawn oak figuring throughout with stepped and facetted fielded panels. Octagonal wedge shaped handles with exposed pegs to the interior.

Condition: Offered in excellent refinished condition. This bureau is currently waiting to have a new leather fitted to the desk area - this is included in the price.

Dimensions: Width 27", depth 17" and height overall 42". Open desk area is 25" wide by 22" deep. There is space for a laptop to be accommodated within the bureau with the fall from closed - up to 24" wide, 16" deep and 2.25" thick.

The bookcase: An Arts & Crafts style bookcase made by Heal's c.1930. Labelled. Constructed in well figured quarter sawn oak. This bookcase is slightly deeper than most which makes it quite a versatile piece. The two shelves are in fixed positions but they are removable.

Heal's Limed Oak Circular Dining / Breakfast Table
The table: An Arts & Crafts circular limed oak breakfast / dining table by Heal's. No label but this is a slightly larger model than that shown in the 1918 Heal's Cottage Furniture catalogue. Constructed in solid well figured quarter sawn oak.

Condition: Offered in very good original condition. The base has its original limed oak finish which has been simply cleaned and waxed. The top has been bleached out over time - we have cleaned this back and waxed it although there are still some minor marks but nothing to detract (please see the images).

Dimensions: The table top stands 30" high and 45" in diameter.

Arts & Crafts Cotswold Style Oak Writing Table
The desk: An Arts & Crafts Cotswold Style oak writing, possibly by Bath Cabinet Makers, dating c.1925. Constructed in well figured quarter sawn oak. Three drawers with chip carved handles and frieze over chamfered supports joined together by a H stretcher.

Condition: Offered in very good refinished condition.

Dimensions: The table top stands 30.5" high, 41.5" wide and 20" deep.

Heal's Glazed Oak Sectional Bookcase
The bookcases: An oak glazed four section sectional bookcases by Gunn c.1925. This particular design was retailed by Heal & Son and was illustrated in their general catalogue. Constructed in well figured quarter sawn oak.

Condition: Offered in excellent refinished condition.

Dimensions: Height 69.25", Width 34.25" & Depth 9.75". The upper two sections have fixed shelves with an internal depth of 6" and height of 8" (10" for the top shelf which expands into the cornice. The bottom two sections have a depth of just shy of 8". The base section has an internal height of 11.5" and the second section has an internal height of 9.5" (with the up and over doors open).
