The chairs: A pair of bent oak armchairs by Heal's c.1930. No label (see Arts & Crafts Furniture by John Andrews) Pegged joints to the horizontal splats. Original seats.

Condition: Offered in very good original condition. Frames have been tightened and simply cleaned and waxed. Original seats are clean and perfectly serviceable - we can offer to have the seats re-upholstered in your fabric - please contact us for details and prices.

The chair: An Arts & Crafts chair designed by Leonard Wyburd for Liberty & Co c.1900. No label but this chair is illustrated in the Liberty & Co Yuletide gifts catalogue of 1898 as the "Wiclif" chair.

Arts & Crafts Ash Clissett Armchair
The chair: An ash 'Clissett' rush seated armchair. Designed by Ernest Gimson after Philip Clissett c.1904. Turned & pegged construction with scored lines to indicate the position of the joints. This example was probably made by Edward Gardiner during the 1920's.

We also have a set of six matchng 'Clissett' side chairs available.

Condition: Offered in very good original condition. Frame to be cleaned & waxed prior to delivery.
