Betty Joel Walnut Desk
The desk: A Betty Joel Queensland Walnut breakfront desk with West African Cherry drawer fronts. Labelled & signed. This desk can be free standing as it has an attractive panelled back. There is an arrangement of seven deep drawers: a central frieze drawer flanked by twin pedestals each comprising three graduating drawers.

Condition: Offered in excellent refinished condition with a new tooled leather top.

Dimensions: The desk stands 31" tall, 48" wide and 28" deep.

Betty Joel Wardrobe
The wardrobet: An English Art Deco / Modernist wardrobe designed by Betty Joel and hand made at the Token works in 1938 (labelled). Constructed in well figured West African cherry mahogany with a cedar wood interior. Original metalware and a working lock with key.

Condition: Offered in very good refinished condition. Some minor imperfections and indentations to the sides.

Brynmawr Arts & Crafts Dining Chairs
The chairs: A set of six (4 + 2) Arts & Crafts dining chairs dating circa 1930. Design by Paul Matt for Brynmawr Furniture. Brynmawr were very much contemporaries of the Cotswold school. We also hold a Brynmawr refectory dining table and sideboard to match.

Condition: Offered in very good firm and solid condition. Frames tightened and refinished.

The Suite: A painted oak dining suite comprising an extending draw-leaf table and six chairs by Brynmawr Furniture c.1930's.

Condition: Offered in very good original condition. Original green painted finish worn in places.

Brynmawr Oak Sideboard
The sideboard: An Arts & Crafts oak sideboard designed by by Paul Matt for Brynmawr Furniture c.1930. Two central drawers over a small shelved cupboard flanked either side by cupboards with a single shelf and internal drawer. Well figured quarter sawn oak with raised and bevelled panels with square wedge shaped handles fixed in place with exposed pegs.

The table: A circular oak side / occasional book table in the manner of Heal's C.1930 (No label). Heavy for its size, this table is constructed in solid, well figured. quarter sawn oak. Three circular tiers (middle tier asymmetric) divided into quarters.

Cotswold School Arts & Crafts Side Table
The table: An Arts & Crafts Cotswold School side table after Peter Waals made by Kenneth Desmond Lampard c.1950. Kenneth Desmond Lampard (born 1926) was a pupil of Edward Barnsley in the late 1940's. The side table is constructed in solid well figured quarter sawn oak.

Condition: Offered in excellent condition.

Cotswold School Cupboard
The Cupboard: An Arts & Crafts Cotswold School oak cupboard after Peter Waals, made by handicraft students under the direction of Edward Barnsley during the late 1930s. This piece is unusual for such pieces being constructed in well figured quarter sawn oak and was probably made for the college office or library. There is a clear influence from Peter Waals evident, whose designs were used by students, with the handles, raised panels, through tenons and dovetailed joints. The whole cupboard sits on hidden castors which can be removed if preferred. The back is fibreboard. The cupboard is divided into 2 sections by a central divider and each section has two adjustable shelves (4 in total) which are not shown in the images - updated images will follow shortly.

Condition: Offered in very good original condition. The finish has been cleaned back and revived.
