Arts & Crafts "Wyclif" Chair by Liberty & Co
The chair: An Arts & Crafts chair designed by Leonard Wyburd for Liberty & Co c.1900. No label but this chair is illustrated in the Liberty & Co Yuletide gifts catalogue of 1898 as the "Wiclif" chair.

Condition: Offered in very good original condition. There is some damage to the original rush of the drop-in seat. We can offer to to have the seat re-rushed. Please contact us for details.

Arts & Crafts Ash Clissett Armchair
The chair: An ash 'Clissett' rush seated armchair. Designed by Ernest Gimson after Philip Clissett c.1904. Turned & pegged construction with scored lines to indicate the position of the joints. This example was probably made by Edward Gardiner during the 1920's.

We also have a set of six matchng 'Clissett' side chairs available.

Condition: Offered in very good original condition. Frame to be cleaned & waxed prior to delivery.

The settle: An Arts & Crafts three seater ash settle made by William Birch of High Wycombe c.1900 after a design by E. Punnett.

Condition: Offered in very good condition. The frame is firm and solid with no evidence of any significant damage or repair. The original finish has been revived and the seat has been professionally re-rushed.

Dimensions: Width 69", depth 17" at the seat or 24" overall, height 41".

An Arts & Crafts oak bonheur du jour / writing table attributed to E.A. Taylor and most probably made by Shapland & Petter. Hinged top enclosing a leather writing surface and compartments which rise with the fold-out action. Two frieze drawers (one with working lock and key).

Arts & Crafts Chair by William Birch
The chair: An Arts & Crafts side chair made by William Birch of High Wycombe. The design is attributed to George Walton and the chair would have most probably been retailed through Liberty & Co. The chair is unusual in the fact that it is constructed out of a well figured exotic hardwood (type tbc).

Condition: Offered in very good original condition.

Dimensions: The seat height is 17.75", the chair width (at the front) is 17.75" and the back height is 41".

Arts & Crafts Cotswold School 6' Extending Dining table
An Arts & Crafts oak Cotswold School extending dining table by Theo Dalrymple. Constructed in solid well figured quarter sawn oak with some "pippy" or "cats paw" interest to the grain. The table has octagonal shaped supports and exposed dowel construction. The table ends slide out to accommodate a central leaf.

Condition: Offered in excellent refinished condition.

Dimensions: The table stands 30" tall, 34" deep and 74" in length with the extension leaf inserted.

Arts & Crafts Cotswold School Chest of Drawers
The chest: An Arts & Crafts solid oak Cotswold School chest of four drawers. Designed by Peter Waals and made by final year handicraft students under the direction of Edward Barnsley in the 1930s for Hazlerigg Hall (now part of Loughborough University). The chest has pommel horse handles and is beautifully constructed with exposed dovetails and through tenons.

Condition: Offered in very good refinished condition. All drawers run remarkably smoothly.
