Huge Arts & Crafts Walnut Wind-Out Extending Dining Table by Maple & Co |
The table: A substantial (10') Arts & Crafts Gothic Revival wind-out extending dining table by Maple & Co (stamped) dating circa 1880s. Constructed in well figured solid walnut. The table top has a rounded corners with a quality moulded edge over a floating frieze and ring turned legs sat upon original brass and pottery castors. The table extends by means of a joseph fitter double winder mechanism which comes complete with three original leaves and its original winder handle.
Condition: Offered in excellent (fully restored) condition.
Dimensions: The table top stands 29" high, 53.5" wide and 118.5" in length fully extended with all three leaves inserted. Each leaf measures 16.5", 19.5" & 24" respectively. |

Liberty & Co Arts & Crafts Oak Sideboard / Dresser |
The sideboard: An Arts & Crafts oak sideboard / dresser designed by leonard Wyburd for Liberty & Co dating circa 1890s. Copper handles and strap hinges to asymetric base doors (plus a single drawer) and bottle-eye glazing to central upper door. This piece has superb architectural form with an overhanging top over an A-frame base.
Provenance: No label but this is a well documented piece. We also have the receipt from when this piece was purchased from Libertys (Antiques department) in 1995.
Condition: Offered in very good original condition. Key present for base doors.
Dimensions: The sideboard stands approx 71" tall, 76" wide and 25" deep. |
